Well, well. I decided to call this need a title until I can think of something to change the title to by the time I end this blog. Well today, I really had hoped to get something accomplished. But, I didn't. I woke up at like 10am and I had to go move shit. So I went in town and saw one of my uncle's friend's house. It was damned nice. I wish I could afford something like he had. His office was set up as a loft on the top floor. It had a big open wall and you could see down into the living room. It was really cool. Definitely something I would want to have in my house. You ever thought of shit that would be cool in a house like that? I hope I get to design a badass ass house when I'm older and richer. But I have a lot of god damned work to do to get to the latter.
Anyway, so I went and did that shit and then we decided to go see Alexander. I didn't think it was that bad. I thought Colin Farrell played Alexander the Great quite well. I don't really know my European history to well but it was convinving. There we're obvious bi/homosexual references in the movie. From Colin Farrell kissing another guy, to many others. You would have to see the movie. I'm not going to go into that. Anyway, I compared it to the movie Troy. I thought Troy depicted an Epic like The Gladiator. I thought Troy was very well put together and I could follow the story and the main concept the whole way through. With Alexander, the story is kind of hard to follow. In Alexander the flow of the movie jumps around from 40 years from one point, to when Alexander ruled. To 8 years when he started when his father Phillip was killed. It was kind of hard to follow. Troy and Gladiator are more of a linear motion picture where everything happens in sequential order. Alexander wasn't a great movie like Gladiator but I think it falls in the same category. I thought the effects, and picture of the film we're really good. The battle scenes were bloody as hell and realistic so that was definitely a plus for me. There's one part in the final battle where they chop off the tusk of an elephant. It had to be one of the best things I've ever seen in a movie. The only thing that's a bitch about the movie is they back stabbed them in then end and fucked them over. I'm not going to spoil it for anyone that hasn't seen it yet. But I may add this to my list of future movie reviews to do. I would give it a an 8/10 for the simple fact of the story being broken. Angelina Joile definitely was hot even for a mom.
So that was pretty much the extent of my day. After the movie, I came home, worked out, smoked a bowl, and watched Viva La Bam. And now I'm writing this. I gotta hit the hay soon because I's gotsta get up at 4 in the am and it's almost 11 now. shit.
Well yesterday, or last nite I worked on the top images for the sections on the main page. I'm trying to get a visual feel for the first page before I do the rest of the pages and add more content. I got a story to add to here, and one from a guy that goes to the crapville forums. They added a creative section over there so that's kinda cool. I said I would do some hosting for people that needed their story hosted. So if you do email me and I'll throw it up. It would probably be best to email it to me in a word document.
So I did these banners (that's what I'm going to call them, banners). I thought they turned out pretty cool. I posted a topic about them on the forums and Tony over there said that they looked pretty good. Made me proud. hehe. If you think they're alright let me know. I'd appreciate some feedback.
I don't really know what else to put in the topic and I didn't even fucking think of a title. damnit. ahh well. That's just gonna have to be 'nuff for now.
